North Kingstown's first Big Draw event, Draw & Doodle DO! succeeded in drawing people of all ages and abilities into a day of community creativity on October 2, 2010.  

More than 15 activities bustled with creative energy throughout the day at the NK Free Library, around Wickford Village, at the Wickford Art Association and at the artist's studio building, the Mill at Shady Lea. 

Twenty volunteers, many of them NK Arts Council members, contributed their valuable time and talents which were essential to the success of the project. 

Senior citizens at Beechwood launched the project on September 29 with their "Lend a Hand' drawings. 

A big Thank You to all who drew on their desire to make this first Big Draw event a big success by participating! 

A slide show of the project will be presented on November 10th, at 6pm at the Beechwood Center.
